General Summary

The Michigan Lottery and NeoPollard Interactive are seeking an experienced Digital Paid Media Program Manager to join our Marketing team. The Digital Paid Media Program Manager will act as the primary liaison with an internal marketing team and an outside team of agency partners to develop and enhance the Lottery’s digital marketing programs.

The Digital Paid Media Program Manager will be responsible for the tactical execution of digital branding and direct-response programs. This position will coordinate paid marketing programs involving search and digital media.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive digital media roadmap for retail & iLottery products that will provide qualified leads, sales support, and maximize brand awareness
  • Achieve iLottery acquisition goals through digital media strategies as designated by the Deputy Commissioner and Digital Marketing & Analytics Manager
  • Develop and implement campaigns designed to grow player value and re-engage with existing players
  • Work closely with Digital Operations staff and agency partners to determine campaign impact on site traffic, sales performance, and player acquisition
  • Utilize marketing analytics and reporting in order to determine marketing program effectiveness
  • Manage internal Paid Media Coordinator and external agencies; ensure targets related to the planning and execution of ad buys, campaign implementation, testing and results are attained
  • Collaborate with Marketing team members and outside creative agency partners, on creative needs to support digital paid media program and bring ideas from concept to execution
  • Ensure correct creative, landing pages, offer codes and tracking metrics are tested and deployed
  • As assigned by Deputy Commissioner and Digital Marketing & Analytics Manager, monitor the annual budget for digital media channels against invoices through the year
  • Champion the brand in the interactive space to ensure that online presence reflects consistent representation of product as demonstrated in other media channels
  • Oversee the design and placement of digital advertising assets to ensure the highest degree of brand safety
  • Maintain and apply digital media buying guidelines and brand identity standards
  • Conduct industry analysis, keep up-to-date on digital trends, social media, mobile, video and emerging technology
  • Manage miscellaneous projects as requested by Deputy Commissioner and Digital Marketing & Analytics Manager

Qualifications

  • 5+ years marketing and digital media campaign experience
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree – Marketing, Advertising or Business degree preferred
  • Broad-based knowledge of e-commerce/digital marketing best practices
  • Superior knowledge of current digital marketing trends and techniques and a strong on-line portfolio displaying creative solutions in the digital marketing field
  • Practical experience in successful direct-response programs supporting an e-commerce web site that resulted in increased site visits and increased conversions
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and agency partners
  • Comfortable handing business relationships with an attention to detail and service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with Google Adwords
